A Free First Year, Then a Number Nobody Has Published
For $99 a year, get a Louisiana agent with a registered address on file, same-day scanning of legal documents, and compliance reminders before state deadlines.
You are on a competitor's page and it would be silly to pretend otherwise. LA Registered Agent.org sells Louisiana registered agent service at $99 a year and would happily take over the appointment Inc Authority currently holds. Our whole argument is that a price you can read beats a price you cannot, which means making one up would be self-defeating. We have not made one up.
The Free Year Survived Our Poking
Order a formation package from Inc Authority and your opening twelve months of agent service cost nothing at all. We went looking for the catch the way a rival would.
A setup charge tucked somewhere? None we could find. A term quietly shorter than the advertised twelve months? No. Value clawed back through a neighboring line item? Nothing identifiable. A brand new Louisiana company watching its opening bank balance gets a statutory requirement covered for a year without paying for it. That is good for the buyer, and spinning it would just make this page less credible.
Then the Data Runs Out
Year two has no published figure.
In July 2026 we searched the premium package listings, then the FAQ, then the homepage. No second-year rate turned up in any of the three. The evidence points at a number that appears at checkout or on a phone call, which is a choice somebody made rather than an oversight.
We will not estimate it and no page you read should. The objection stands without a figure anyway, because Louisiana requires an agent to be named against your LLC for as long as the entity stays on the register. Whatever the renewal figure is, it is the one ruling this expense across the company's whole life, and it is the half nobody has shown you.

| Can you total a decade today? | No | $990 |
Louisiana Caps Your Exposure, For Now
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereAn unknown renewal is only dangerous when leaving is expensive or slow. In Louisiana it is neither, and there is a date attached to that.
Moving your agent costs $25 today, on a single filing, with no waiting period and no seasonal restriction. Whatever number eventually arrives on that invoice, your response costs less than a tank of gas. That matters more than it sounds like it does, because owners tend to swallow a surprise price when unwinding it feels like a project, and here it is not a project.
The date: Act 921 of the 2026 Regular Session raises that change fee to $30 on October 1, 2026. Weeks away, not months. Still cheap afterwards, but if your renewal conversation with Inc Authority is coming up anyway, having it before the fall costs you five dollars less to act on.
Our Number, Published in Advance
$99 this year. $99 in year nine. Both printed where you can find them before you spend anything, with no introductory rate, no tier sitting above the one you bought, and no second pricing conversation waiting for you in year three.
Anything a process server leaves at our Louisiana office is scanned and waiting in your dashboard before that business day ends, the document attached to an email. Our Louisiana address goes on your public filing rather than your own. One product at checkout and nothing suggested beside it.
Our $99 sits near the bottom of Louisiana's published range without being the bottom. BetterLegal's $90 is the bottom. Anybody buying strictly on the smallest sticker ought to go read their terms. Naming them costs us money, which is rather the point of naming them.
Leaving Inc Authority Costs Less in Louisiana Before October
The whole mechanism is one filing: the #983 change of office or agent form, sent with $25 to the Secretary of State's Commercial Division here in Louisiana, a figure that becomes $30 on October 1, 2026. Paper submissions include a notarized affidavit of acceptance from the agent taking over, which is our job rather than yours; geauxBIZ handles the same step by email. The Louisiana change guide on this site has the detail.
Get the replacement appointed before anything gets cancelled. You can file the change on any business day, including one inside the free year, and doing it in that order means the agent line on your record is never sitting empty while paperwork moves.
